Famous Smoke Shop 80th Anniversary review by Don José
Hey team, Don José here back with another review.
Today we have the
Famous Smoke Shop 80th Anniversary
by DT&T
If this is your first time here, my reviews rate each cigar on 10 factors and each factor gets a rating out of 10 giving me an overall out of 100. The 10 factors are: Construction, Draw, Burn, Flavour, 1/3 overall, 2/3 overall, 3/3 overall, Journey (how well it flows), Complexity & Value for money.
Overview
WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE!!
Well once upon a time I would have said getting one of these was impossible. The original production was 250 boxes of 10 which went in what seemed like minutes, then a second release was announced with 500 more boxes of 10 cigars, making it still pretty hard to get, now a third release has dropped, and according to Famous Smoke shop its here to stay!
Steve (Blender and owner of DT&T) has said this is "a full flavored, rich liga that is “classic Saka” through and through - lots of goodies in this one from its unique naturally, sungrown Nica capa to its all Nicaraguan binder and filler. This is a Nica Love fest of a Smoke!"
My only questions is; is this 3rd release the same as the first? and if so, why such a small limit to begin with?
Details:
Brand: DUNBARTON TOBACCO & TRUST

Fillers: Nicaraguan
About the wrapper.
Well other than "unique naturally, sungrown Nica capa" there is not a lot to tell you here... Come on Steve! Give us a hint haha.
let's get into the review.
First thoughts
An amazing looking cigar for sure. A 'classic' DT&T Band but in a dee green and gold, with a bold 80th gold band on the foot.
The wrapper is a quite dark chocolate brown with not a lot of teeth, slightly oily and the cigar has a slight box press.
Construction
Completely flawless.
Burn & Draw Ever so slightly tighter draw than I expected, but perfect burn and plenty of smoke.
Flavour & Complexity Cocoa, coffee, wood and pepper with a hint of spice and some epic depth. Classic Sake for sure.
Strength 78% - Mid-Full, Maybe slightly milder than I would say a classic Saka is
Enjoyment / Journey I don't think I've ever not truly enjoyed a Saka cigar, its no secret that he is 'my favourite blender' - if there is such a thing
Overall Well, what a stick, I almost need to invent a new scale for Saka cigars as there are quite a few of them on here hitting over 95 points now - If you can get your hands on one of these, do it.
I rate this cigar 95 points!
A look at the numbers.
Construction -- 10/10
